Don’t Let Your Own Psychic Ability Scare You
Perceiving the Future. Spirits and Magick. Channeling. Manifesting Abundance. Astral Projection.
It’s no wonder so many are terrified by the mere suggestion of looking into metaphysical philosophies and psychic practices.
The buzz words alone are enough to make the average person run shrieking for the hills!
Sadly, one of the most negative aspects the bright spotlight on metaphysics and New Age subjects over the course of the last 20 years has caused is a substantial number of people to get the wrong idea about those realms where spiritual enlightenment and personal awareness lie.
For instance, fear that:
- Psychic philosophy involves all kinds of weird practices. (It doesn’t.)
- You’ll suddenly start hearing supernatural voices and get yourself in so deep exploring your own spiritual essence that you’ll lose yourself in the process. (You won’t.)
- You’ll become obsessed with way-out teachings and start sacrificing livestock for good luck or worshipping crazy symbols and idols. (Nope, not by a long shot.)
- You’ll lose your own spiritual beliefs. (Impossible; psychic insight can only bring deeper meaning to your already-established spirituality. It steals nothing from you.)
Undertaken simply and slowly, psychic exploration won’t involve anything so heavy, ominous or the least bit bizarre. You won’t be bombarded with a complicated mix of buzz words that essentially mean nothing until you have ventured into the subject far enough to learn precisely how to grasp these complex concepts.
If the thought of even tip-toeing into new fields of metaphysical study causes you to break out in a sweat or leads you instantly to think, “I can’t do this, it’s too left field for me,” it just might be time to take a closer, more concentrated look.
Time to give these unconventional philosophies centered on tapping into your own consciousness and place within the Universe on the spirit level a chance to grow on you.
To get your feet wet:
Experience the power of your own visualizations
Sit quietly and visualize yourself actively engaged in the work - your true calling - which you know deep inside your heart you were put on this earth to do. Genuinely see yourself in this capacity and feel the sense of achievement and personal fulfillment it brings you.
Draw in a long, slow breath and hold it as you visualize lifting in your hands a multi-faceted gold bar above your head that captures and reflects intense shafts of sunlight in all directions around you. Hold that bar in your hands above your head and take several deep breaths as you feel its vibrancy and experience the intense power of those shafts of sunlight.
It isn’t unusual to do such visualizations and suddenly find change - real change - taking root in your life. For instance, a new career choice. The right opportunity designed to take you away from the unrewarding job you are currently in can very easily present itself as if by magic, turning you in the direction you want your professional life most to take.
Yes, the power of such visualizations can actually make it so.
Studying new and different spiritual techniques and beliefs doesn’t mean that you lose yourself to a bunch of half-baked ideas but rather that you find yourself by exploring the reaches of your own spiritual being.
Think of it as merely experimenting with new ideas that aren’t focused on any one religion but on learning new ways to expand your own spiritual horizons toward happiness and fulfillment in the future.
Nothing scary about that!
